Baby Shower

What a spectacular day. My shower was at MB’s house (Momma Bird) and with the help of my really close friends, RB and family, the shower was perfect. The invitations and decorations were butterflies and flowers and there was pink everywhere, including all the guests, everyone was asked to wear something pink! Even my dad wore pink. When guests arrived they were asked to write a message on a diper, the messages are so funny, it was a great idea. We enjoyed fabulous food like meatballs, fruit with yummy dip, turkey sandwiches on orange muffins, wings, veggie pizza and the best cake ever! The bakery that made my wedding cake also made the cake for the shower and it was the cutest thing ever, almost too cute to eat, but it was cake and you gotta eat cake! The cake was strawberry cake (pink of course) with cream cheese icing and the top cake was vanilla cake with strawberry filling (more pink).


We played fun games too. One game everyone tore pieces of toilet paper long enough to wrap around by big belly, which was fun to see how long of a piece people thought they needed. We also passed around baby food and had to guess the flavors and another game where we saw a tray of baby stuff and then had to remember what was on the tray. The were so many things that I didn’t know the names of, so my paper was full of “thingy’s”, like medicine thingy and cleaning thingy, I guess I’ll know the names of all of those things very soon. After games came presents! I think I opened gifts for over an hour, Jillene and I were spoiled! She got everything she needs and will be the best dressed little girl ever. She got her swing, clothes, playpen, stroller and car seat, clothes, decorations for her room, all the necessities, and more clothes. It was such a wonderful day spent with great people.

After the shower my best girl friends all came back to my house and we went through all the gifts and put things away and others together. It was great to spend that time with them, I love them so much and Jill is so lucky to have them too! Aunt Meggie, Aunt K and Aunt Dee Dee can’t wait to meet Jillbean!
